워크숍 중, 대구대학교의 김준우 교수님의 ‘지방소멸대응: 소도시 재구조화 전략연구’ 강의를 듣고 문답하는 시간을 가졌습니다.
During the workshop, attendees had a Q&A session with Professor Kim Jun-woo of Daegu University, who gave a lecture on “Countering Local Decline: A Study of Strategies for Restructuring Small Cities”.

또한 Living Lab 진행시, 어떤 기술이나 내용을 활용하면 좋을지에 대한 토론 진행과 right-sizing 연구과정 중 수행한 인터뷰 내용을 토대로 해당 기술이나 내용이 Living Lab에서 어떻게 활용될 수 있을지에 대해 생각해 보는 시간도 가졌습니다.
Attendees also had a discussion about what technologies or content they would like to use in the Living Lab and how they could be utilized in the Living Lab based on the interviews that attendees conducted during the right-sizing research process.

‘지방소멸 대응을 위한 right-sizing 기술 기초연구실’에 참여하는 3개 연구실이 모여 2024년 3월 6일 인터뷰 스킬 워크숍을 진행했습니다. 이후 진행할 인터뷰를 위해 진행된 워크숍으로써, 인터뷰 진행과 이후 인터뷰된 내용들을 정리 및 분류하는 과정을 체험하며 익히는 시간을 가졌습니다.

Three research labs participating in the ‘basic research laboratory for right-sizing technology for local extinction’ gathered to conduct an interview skills workshop on March 6, 2024. The workshop, conducted in preparation for upcoming interviews, provided an opportunity to experience the process of conducting interviews and organizing and categorizing the information gathered during and after the interviews.

워크숍 중, 고한 도시재생 현장센터의 도움을 받아 신동훈 도시재생센터장님과 김진용 마을호텔18번가 협동조합 상임이사님의 지역 살리기 대응 전략에 대한 강의를 듣고 현장 사례지를 답사하였습니다.
With assistance from the Gohan Urban Regeneration Field Center, attendees listened to lectures on local revitalization strategies by Director Shin Dong-hoon of the Urban Regeneration Center and Mr. Kim Jin-yong, Executive Director of the Town Hotel 18th Street Cooperative. They also conducted field visits to examine practical examples.

또한 right-sizing 연구 대상지 중 한 곳인 포항의 미래 신문 기사 만들어보기 활동을 진행하여 해당 지역의 미래에 대해서 상상해 보고 대응 전략을 생각해 보는 시간도 가졌습니다.
Additionally, they engaged in an activity to create a future newspaper article about Pohang, one of the research sites for right-sizing, imagining the future of the area and brainstorming response strategies.

11월 16일 호주 시드니에서 University of New South Wales 대학의 School of Built Environment 및 School of Civil & Environmental Engineering 교원들과 워크숍 자리를 마련하였습니다. UNSW 교수님들 모두 매우 학구적이고 열정적인 모습이 인상적이었습니다. 이 자리는 양교의 교수님들이 서로 각자의 연구분야를 소개하는 자리였습니다. 앞으로 우리 학과 교수님들과 연구 및 교육분야에서 지속적인 협력이 있기를 기대합니다.

On November 16, a workshop was organized in Sydney, Australia, with professors from the University of New South Wales’ School of Built Environment and School of Civil & Environmental Engineering. All the UNSW professors presented themselves with remarkable academic dedication and passion. This gathering provided an opportunity for professors from both institutions to introduce their respective research fields. We look forward to continued collaboration in research and education with the professors in our department in the future.
